An early test to measure your levels of the hormone hCG to determine if you are pregnant. This test is very sensitive and can detect even very low levels of hCG, possibly giving a positive result earlier than an over-the-counter urine test. This test can tell if you are pregnant about 6 to 8 days after you ovulate.

This test measures your human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) level. HCG is a pregnancy hormone produced when a fertilised egg implants in the uterine wall. It starts to be produced around 6 days after fertilisation. This hormone increases as pregnancy develops.
